HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Batagarawa Local Government Education Authority came into being on 23 rd Sept. 1991 following the creation of the Local Government which was curved out of the defunct Katsina Local Government.

The administrative structure of the LGEA was first operated at the premises of Alhaji Sadauki Murtala in Batagarawa Town. It was given free for the LGEA to operate and later moved to Aliyu Maiwada’s House at Batagarawa Low cost. The LGEA moved to its Permanent site in 1993 located at Local Government Secretariat Complex. The Permanent Site has seventeen Offices, two Stores, Library, Eight Toilets and one Chamber. The structure was constructed during the chairmanship of Hon. Gide Musa Dandagoro.
