HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The Batagarawa Local Government Education Authority came into being on 23 rd Sept. 1991 following the creation of the Local Government which was curved out of the defunct Katsina Local Government.
The administrative structure of the LGEA was first operated at the premises of Alhaji Sadauki Murtala in Batagarawa Town. It was given free for the LGEA to operate and later moved to Aliyu Maiwada’s House at Batagarawa Low cost. The LGEA moved to its Permanent site in 1993 located at Local Government Secretariat Complex. The Permanent Site has seventeen Offices, two Stores, Library, Eight Toilets and one Chamber. The structure was constructed during the chairmanship of Hon. Gide Musa Dandagoro.

- Supply of text/exercise books.
- Production of 10,000 copies of C.A booklets.
- Payment of all examination fees.
- Settlement of cost of Examinations, interviews and photographs.
- Sponsorship of Qur’anic recitation competition.
- Repairs of office vehicle.
- Paid land compensation for the following schools.

- Rehabilitated all the primary school needing the rehabilitation in 2003.
- Supplied two Thousand One hundred and seventy five double seater table and desk (2,175).
- The PTA in the following schools initiated the constitution of one block of two classrooms which was completed by the Local government.

- Katina state ETF supplied the LGEA with 361 No. classrooms furniture.
- Sponsored coaching programme for primary school six pupils annually.

- Second position 2002 debate competition.
